Personal data

When using our offers, various personal data will be collected, processed and stored with or without your intervention. What data this is and why this happens is explained in the following sections.

When visiting our website

When you visit our website www.websitedomain.de, the program (such as the browser) used on your device automatically sends information to our web server. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information will be collected without your intervention and stored until automated deletion:

  • IP address of the requesting computer
  • Date and time of access
  • Adress (URL) of the retrieved file
  • Message whether the access / retrieval was succesfull

This data are processed by us for the following purposes:

  • Ensuring comfortable use of our webiste

  • as well as for further administrative purposes

The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. For the purposes mentioned above, we have a legitimate interest in collecting data. In no case we use the collected data to draw conclusions about your person.

Contacting us

On our website, we offer you the opportunity to contact us, by using a contact form. Our office management is the recipient of your request. It is generally necessary to provide your name and a valid e-mail address so that we know from whom the request came from and to respond to your request. Further information can be provided voluntarily or is absolutely necessary for your inquiry.

The data processing for the purpose of establishing contact takes place in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a GDPR based on your voluntarily granted consent. The personal data ,for the use of the contact form, collected by us  will be automatically deleted after the request has been submitted.

Data Security

For the operation of our servers and offers, we rely predominantly on self-managed open source software. All stored data is stored on our own servers. Our servers are located in a data center in Germany. Data center operators or our contractual partners are in any case German companies. If necessary, we have concluded contract processing contracts with these companies which comply with the statutory requirements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

We use the widely used TLS (Transport Layer Security, SSL = Secure Socket Layer) in conjunction with the highest encryption level supported by your browser on our transport security websites. In general, this is a 256-bit encryption. This ensures that the communication between your device and our servers is encrypted. Whether a single page of our website is transmitted encrypted, you can tell by the (usually) green or closed representation of the key or lock icon in the address bar of your browser.

In addition, we use technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, misuse and manipulation or loss. The measures we use are continually optimized in line with technological developments.

Disclosure of data

Please note: Under no circumstances will your personal data be disclosed to third parties unless this is absolutely necessary, as explained below. In no case do we sell your data, pass it on for promotional purposes or use it beyond the minimum required.

Your data will not be disclosed to third parties unless:

  • You, according to Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a GDPR, have given express consent to this
  • The disclosure pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR is required to assert, exercise or defend legal claims and there is no reason to assume that you have a predominantly legitimate interest in not disclosing your data
  • In the event that disclosure pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c GDPR is a legal obligation
  • as well as this is legally permissible and according to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. B GDPR is required for the settlement of contractual relationships with you

We sometimes use cookies on our website. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and stored by your browser.

The tracking measures we use are based on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. In this way, we want to ensure needs-based design and the ongoing optimization of our website. On the other hand, we use these measures to statistically record and evaluate the use of our website. These interests have to be regarded as justified within the meaning of the aforementioned provision.

Matomo

Our website uses the web analysis service MATOMO (formerly known as PIWIK). To carry out this analysis, MATOMO uses cookies (see above). The information generated by these cookies, such as time, place and frequency of your visits to our site, including your IP address, are transmitted to our MATOMO server and stored there. As part of this process, you IP address is immediately anonymized so that you as user remain anonymous to us. The information about your use of this site is not transferred to third parties.

You can prevent cookies from being installed by adjusting the settings on your browser software accordingly. You should be aware, however, that by doing so you may not be able to make full use of all the functions of our website. Should you be unwilling to have this data about your use of the site stored and analyzed, you may at any time subsequently withdraw your consent to it being stored and used with a click of the mouse. Services and content of third parties

We use third-party content or service offerings on our website based on our legitimate interests in order to provide their services and content, such as integrated videos. It is assumed that the IP address of the users is sent to the third party of this content, as the providers without the IP address could not deliver the content to their browser. The IP address is therefore required for the presentation of this content.

We endeavor to use only content whose respective providers use the IP address solely for the delivery of the content. Third parties may also use technologies that can be used for statistical or marketing purposes. By incorporating these services, they can also store cookies on users' devices and also link them to information from other sources.

In doing so, we use the "enhanced privacy mode" option provided by YouTube. YouTube itself explains: "If you enable the advanced privacy mode, YouTube will not store any information about visitors to your site unless they watch the video." If you're logged into YouTube at the same time, that information will be associated with your  Member account  of  YouTube. You can prevent this by logging out of your member account before visiting our website.
